When software moves money or runs exams, “mostly works” isn’t good enough. I plan for failed payments, dropped requests and edge cases before launch, not after.
Slow networks, power cuts, low-end phones. I design for the environment people actually use software in, like an exam system that runs with no internet at all.
I use AI tools to move faster, but nothing ships until I’ve read it, tested it and understood it. If it’s in production, I can explain every line.
Teaching every week has made me explain as well as I build: readable code, honest estimates, regular updates and handovers your team can pick up without me.

Olatunji Peter, known online as devpeter, is a software engineer based in Ogbomoso, Nigeria, currently Software Engineer & Educator at JAARC. With 4+ years of building production web software and a B.Sc. in Computer Science, he builds full-stack products where reliability matters: payments, exams, and platforms people depend on every day.
He is the solo developer behind Buydair, a payments-first wallet for airtime, data, electricity and TV subscriptions, funded through Paystack with webhook verification, automatic recovery of stuck purchases and audited refunds, and paired with free courses that teach people to recognise scams.
At JAARC he built an offline computer-based testing system used by more than 1,000 students. He also built the website and admin platform for True Worshippers Church, where members stream and download sermons.
Alongside building, he teaches: mentoring 10+ students in HTML, CSS & JavaScript, React, AI, digital literacy, from their first web page to shipping real projects. Explaining decisions every week keeps his own engineering clear and well reasoned.
